Fiber X Company Job Title : NOC (Network Operations Center) ManagerJob Location: BaghdadJob SummaryThe NOC Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Network Operations Center, ensuring high network availability, performance, and service quality. This role includes managing NOC staff, coordinating network monitoring and incident response, and implementing processes for proactive issue detection and resolution. It combines technical leadership with operational management, ensuring the network supports business objectives and service-level agreements (SLAs).Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Monitoring & Incident Management-Monitor network health, bandwidth utilization, latency, packet loss, and other KPIs.-Oversee real-time monitoring of network devices, systems, and services.-Ensure incidents are logged, categorized, prioritized, and resolved according to SLAs.-Coordinate with technical teams for escalation and root cause analysis of critical incidents.-Implement proactive monitoring and alerting mechanisms to prevent network downtime.Process & Workflow Management-Define, implement, and continuously improve NOC processes, including incident, problem, and change management.-Develop and maintain network documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and escalation matrices.-Ensure proper reporting and dashboards for operational metrics and KPIs.Team Management-Lead, mentor, and manage NOC engineers.-Develop staffing schedules to ensure 24/7 coverage for network monitoring and incident response.-Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and maintain a high-performing team.Collaboration & Communication-Serve as the primary point of contact for network incidents to internal teams and external stakeholders.-Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to ensure alignment on network performance and service quality.-Provide periodic reports to CTO and senior management on network health, outages, and performance trends.Qualifications & Skills7+ years of experience in network operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within a NOC environment, preferably for an ISP.Strong knowledge of IP core networking, routing/switching protocols, and ISP backbone (IP core, aggregation, and edge network design). Good technical understanding of access technologies; optical networks, GPON and wireless technologies.Good technical understanding of IT core infrastructure windows/Linux server and virtualization.Experience with network monitoring tools and task automation (e.g., SolarWinds, Zabbix, PRTG).Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, IT, or related field.Interested candidates kindly send your CV to jobs@fiberx.iq
