Each is seeking a Non-Executive Board Director to help shape the future of our organisation and the communities we serve.Each is a profit for purpose organisation delivering health, mental health, disability, counselling, and community support services across Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania, Queensland, and the ACT. Our Board guides governance and strategy, ensuring we stay true to our mission and values while creating real and lasting impact.At Each, we recognise the value of lived experience and diverse perspectives. Our Board plays a critical role in ensuring safe, high-quality, and accessible services for all — including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTIQA+ communities, people with disability, neurodivergent people, refugees, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Non-Executive Board Director, you will work as an active member of the Board to:Set strategic direction to ensure services remain person-centred, accessible, connected, effective, and safeProvide oversight of organisational performance and financial sustainabilityChampion inclusive, culturally safe, and psychologically safe environments for staff, clients, and communitiesParticipate in Board and Committee meetings, contributing expertise to robust and constructive discussionsSupport continuous improvement, innovation, and best practice in governance, quality, and riskRepresent Each in the community, including events and service visitsEngage in ongoing professional development and contribute to Board evaluation and succession planningWho We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking a Board Director who brings:Clinical mental health expertise — supporting informed and effective governanceIntegrity and accountability — ethical, independent decision-makingFinancial and legal literacy — ability to interpret reports and understand governance frameworksCommitment to inclusion — proven ability to foster equitable, safe, and inclusive cultureCuriosity, collaboration, and courage — willingness to question, challenge, and contribute collectivelyEmotional intelligence — empathy, strong communication, and respectful engagementCommercial judgement and purpose-driven focus — business acumen and alignment with Each’s missionMonthly time commitment of 8-10 hours including bi-monthly in-person Board meetings plus an annual retreatPreferred Experience & SkillsPrevious Board or governance experience in not-for-profit or related sectorsExperience in governance, quality, and riskSkills in legal, finance, public relations, stakeholder engagement, or business developmentMandatory requirements:Current and active membership of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) or equivalent, and willingness to complete relevant governance training.Ability to satisfy all relevant background checks (Criminal History, Working with Children, NDIS Worker Screening, Aged Care Banning Orders, Responsible Persons criteria).Why join us?You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Each and strengthening our impact.
