Clinical Dietitian (Level 1-2)Full Time – PermanentAn exciting opportunity exists for an experienced clinical dietitian to join the Dietetics Department at the Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH). NBH provides care to public and private patients from an outstanding facility with a large range of quality services provided by exceptional allied health teams, midwives, nurses, doctors and staff. As a Clinical Dietitian (Level 1-2) you will make an impact by providing thorough nutrition assessment and intervention to patients enabling them to meet their nutritional requirements for recovery and improve their health outcomes.
You will assist the Manager of Dietetics to provide quality Dietetic Service at Northern Beaches Hospital including student supervision, QI activities and service development.
You will Provide a high standard of clinical care to admitted inpatients and outpatients Work in partnership with Medical Officers and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide assessment and evidence based interventionsProvide dietary counseling and education to a variety of different patient populationsProvide clinical supervision to students on clinical placement Contribute to service development and quality improvement Essential CriteriaDegree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent that meets the requirements for full membership of the Dietitians Association of AustraliaRecent acute care clinical dietetics knowledge and experienceProven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team whilst maintaining a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsAbility to initiate and participate in quality improvement initiatives and/or service evaluation processesAbility to prioritize and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice.
