Job DescriptionThe Human Resources Benefits Administrator is responsible for providing support for Benefits and Retirement Plan Administration.
Essential FunctionsEnsure compliance with applicable government regulationsEnsure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and feesResolve compliance related issuesEnsure completion of required documentation and maintain current records with total document/data integrityVerify integrity of data in HRIS via audit reportsDocument and maintain administrative procedures for benefits processesRecommend improvements to procedures, and service and delivery enhancementsEnsures benefit changes are processed in accordance with Company Plan Document(s) and in accordance with ERISAAudit all benefit deductions and reconcile benefit invoices for all plansManage relationships with external benefits brokers and carriersMaintain contact with benefit companies and ensure benefits are processed accuratelyEducate employees on benefit offeringsOversee the open enrollment processOversee the completion of daily benefits processing including enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, and accident and death claimsOversee Northwest's Wellness ProgramDesign, recommend and implement new benefits programsPrepare and send correspondenceProvide required notificationsAssist with processing payroll, Open Enrollment and the Benefits FairProcess billing and paymentsReconcile bills and accounts with payroll entriesMonitor file feeds for Benefit Enrollments and TerminationsIdentify and resolve employee benefits and related issuesDemonstrate ability to work well within multiple levels of the company and a diverse population of internal customersManage personal workload/workflowPerform data entryMinimize departmental non payroll costsMaximize technology tools availableEnsure compliance with Northwest’s policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulationsNavigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department to maximize technology tools and gain efficiencyWork as part of a teamWork with on-site equipmentEducation, Experience & SkillsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred3-5 years of Human Resources experience strongly preferredProven organizational abilityWorking knowledge of computersStrong verbal, communication and interpersonal skills essentialVery detail orientatedUnderstanding of the importance of confidentialityCritical thinking abilitiesNorthwest is an equal opportunity employer.
