Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Physician’s Associate – General Surgery, Division of Surgery – 9 month Secondment.As part of a very exciting service development project, the General Surgery service, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, are currently looking to expand their clinical team. This will support a system Test of Change around rapid access to General Surgical Services for patients across Grampian. We are now seeking qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) and Physicians Associates on a secondment basis to join a well-established team.The ANP/PA team provides assessment, care and treatment for patients across emergency receiving, elective and short stay wards, Surgical High Dependency Unit and the rapid access Surgical Ambulatory Clinic.As an ANP or PA joining this team you will be expected to work a 7 day rotational rota including weekends, and between the hours of 0800-2200. Maintaining and developing your advanced practice skills, knowledge and competence as well as supporting that of others within the team, will also be an expectation of you in this role.You will hold a PgDip in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent (ANP) and have experience working in an ANP/PA role.We will consider applicants for trainee posts under Annex 21. The Nurse Manager and medical colleagues will support the development of individuals to meet advanced practice competencies through the triangulation approach of academic courses, mentorship and clinical supervision.
