What You'll Be DoingThis position provides medical trainees regardless of long term career pathway with an opportunity to obtain paediatric & neonatal experience supervised in a range of clinical settings including the Acute and Ambulatory Children’s Wards, the Special Care Nursery, participate in the comprehensive education program and have opportunity to be involved in clinical research. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of AustraliaDemonstrated excellent paediatric and neonatal clinical skills & judgement; ability to make sound decisions in accordance with level of experience and awareness of limitations.
Demonstrated competence in neonatal resuscitation and common paediatric procedures with relevant paediatric experienceProven ability to organise, plan and manage competing tasks and demonstrated ability to provide concise and accurate clinical handover. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, supervision of junior medical staff, patient safety and risk management including demonstrated experience in taking a comprehensive patient history, performing clinical examinations and accurate documentation in the patient's record. Proven ability to adapt verbal communication style for patients and peers to ensure their message is understood and demonstrated ability to write clear and legible clinical notes, reports and referrals.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and a commitment to actively contribute to clinical team building. Demonstrated ability to manage conflict within a team environment or resolution of differing clinical opinions. Need more information?
