Employment Type: Temporary Full TimeRemuneration: -Hours Per Week: 38Requisition ID: CAM25383What You'll Be DoingThe Orthopaedic Trainee will gain experience in Orthopaedics with a view to progressing this training. The Trainee will be expected to adopt a progressively more independent approach to patient management, according to their experience, under the guidance of, and at the discretion of, the appropriate Attending Medical Officer (AMO). The Orthopaedic Trainee is responsible for the initial assessment of patients and ongoing day to day management under the direction of the appropriate AMO who has legal responsibility for the patient.
The Orthopaedic Trainee has responsibility for ensuring appropriate communication and documentation takes place, as well as responsibility for the training and supervision of junior staff. 1. Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role2. Adept ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, including the sharing of appropriate information internally and externally with key persons or services3. Adept ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise. 4.
Adept verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to vary communication style in line with the understanding of the needs of diverse audiences5. Adept ability to prioritise workloads and display a flexible approach to meet changing situations in a demanding and unpredictable clinical environment6. Commitment to participating in training and development opportunities to further develop skills and knowledge in the area of intensive care medicine7. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
