The Royal Hospital for Women is situated between the University of New South Wales and Coogee Beach.

The primary purpose of the position is to provide quality advanced training in menopause in a complex clinical environment, whilst developing higher professional maturity and professionalism. The Advanced Trainee will, under an appropriate level of supervision by senior staff as approved by the RACP, evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients presenting with problems relating to the subspeciality of menopause. The role would suit a RACP Endocrine trainee and has flexibility to include general Endocrine exposure if required under stipulated training outlines.

Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the roleDemonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, including providing leadership and direction to ensure appropriate management of patientsDemonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertiseDemonstrated time management and problem solving skillsDemonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skills. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk managementEvidence of continuing professional development and commitment to self education. Previous experience in and willingness to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training.
