Salary Classification: Hospital Assistant Grade 2Remuneration: $29. 06 per hour + superannuation + salary packaging options About The RoleThe Courier-Porter is responsible for providing safe and courteous Porter Services throughout the hospital. As a courier you will be maintaining high quality customer service to not only patients, but their families and other departments throughout the hospital. The successful applicant will be available 7 days per week from Monday to Sunday.

The rotating roster works 8-hour shifts over a 7-day period. The shift times are: 6: 00am - 2: 30pm7: 30am - 4: 00pm8: 30am - 5pm10: 00am - 6: 30pm12: 00pm - 8: 30pmKey ResponsibilitiesTransportation of patients and equipmentMovement of blood, blood products and pathology specimensAssisting with transport of medical recordsAssisting with Pharmacy and Pathology deliveries (including cytotoxic drugs) and other general courier duties. About YouCommitment to providing professional customer service to patients, staff and members of the public in a timely manner. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Manual Handling and Infection Control principles privacy and confidentiality obligations.

Commitment to further training with a willingness and flexibility to relieve in higher grade positions. Demonstrated effective communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and ability to work independently as required. Able to work unsupervised and proficient in periods of high demand and activity.
