Fiscal Sustainability and Budget Planning Advisor Location: EuropeDuration: Up to 12 monthsEstimated Workload: Short- to medium-term engagementAbout the Opportunity: We are creating a pool of Fiscal Sustainability and Budget Planning Advisors for a new FWC Contract: EC-SG REFORM/2025/OP/0001: Provision of consultancy services to support the design, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of structural reforms in EU Member State. Experts in this pool will be contacted for specific assignments as they arise. If you have relevant experience we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities: Advise on the integration of fiscal risks into national budget frameworks.
Propose mechanisms to embed sustainability principles into fiscal decision-making. Deliver policy recommendations and action plans for ministries and oversight bodies. Contribute to drafting transition strategies and gap analyses for fiscal risk inclusion. Qualifications: Degree in economics, public policy, or finance. Over 10 years’ experience in budget planning, macroeconomic forecasting, or sustainability analysis. Previous work with ministries of finance or central budget authorities is a strong asset. Ability to translate technical analysis into actionable policy recommendations.
