Since 2017, Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK) and multiple Donors have entered in a partnership to respond to the Rohingya crisis in Cox Bazar & Bhasanchar.Job Location: Ukhiya/ Bhasanchar (Hatia, Noakhali)Job Responsibilities:Ensure nursing and health care of the patient in PHC /SC/Hospital setting on a 24/7 Roster basis.Responsibility to initiate emergency treatment, stabilization of patients, and ensuring adequate patient monitoring in all medical departments as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and National Guidelines·Responsible for dressing wounds, minor injuries, and skin infections, and administering drugs as prescribed by physicians/consultants.Help to assist in the Referral/transfer of sick patients and the safe handover of patients.Responsible for maintaining excellent infection control standards at the facility level· Knowledge and willingness to participate in humanitarian activities.·The employee shall respect Gonoshasthaya Kendra`s & UNHCR`s Conditions of Engagement· A positive attitude and a propensity for leadership and team-building, with the ability to problem-solve under pressureObtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS)· Supervise nursing staff in carrying out clinical duties in a patient care setting.Assess and evaluate the ongoing performance of the nursing staff.Plan and implement schedules for the nursing staff on a daily basis and maintain and manage clinical competencies in the nursing staff.Monitor and review performance improvement activities in nursing functions and supervise specialized training programs for nursing staffMaintains patient confidentiality, documentation, and privacy as per project guidance.Maintains accurate records and documentation of patient treatments and laboratory results according to standard medical recordkeeping.Initiate emergency treatment, stabilization of patients, and ensure adequate patient monitoring in all medical departments as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and National Guidelines. Consults with SC staff in designing appropriate treatment plans for clients.Documents all patient information on medical charts and follows the physician`s written orders.Ensure the correct administration of medication, including injections, and monitor the results of treatment.Administers and notes reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications and arranges further medical attention when necessary.Caring for patients with acute conditions - building relationships and responding to their physical and emotional needs, while delivering effective care.Assess and talk to patients about their condition and discuss the best way to plan and deliver their care.Build relationships with patients to encourage trust, while listening to and interpreting their needs and concerns.Dealing with the specific symptoms of mental illness, de-escalating stressful situations, and helping patients overcome challenges.Respond to distressed patients in a non-threatening manner and attempt to understand the source of their discomfort. Interacting with patients` families and other care staff - offering counseling and information on patients` conditions.Prepare and participate in group and/or one-to-one therapy sessions, both individually and with other health professionals.Work with patients` families and caregivers to help to educate them and the patient about their mental health problems.Help to assist in the Referral/transfer of sick patients and the safe handover of patients.Responsible for maintaining excellent infection control standards at the facility level.Flexibility in working hours is required because of the emergency nature of activities.Knowledge and willingness to participate in humanitarian activities.The employee shall respect Gonoshasthaya Kendra`s & UNHCR`s Conditions of Engagement Educational RequirementsBachelor of Science (BSc)Diploma in NursingMust have a valid and updated registration with the Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery CouncilSkills Required: Reporting and Documentation, Emergency patient management, MhGAP trainingExperience RequirementsAt least 2 year(s)Additional RequirementsAbility to communicate in the Rohingya language (spoken Chittagong dialect)Working Experience in the Rohingya context will add an extra advantage.Job LocationNoakhali, Cox`s Bazar (Teknaf, Ukhia)SalaryTk. 45000 - 48000 (Monthly)
