Job Description

Who We AreNutrient builds developer tools that help companies work with documents more efficiently. Our products are used by thousands of organizations in over 80 countries, including Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. Since receiving €100M in funding from Insight Partners, we've grown from 40 to over 160 employees worldwide. We operate as a remote-first company with team members across the US, Europe, and Asia, using asynchronous communication and minimal meetings to build B2D (Business-to-Developer) products. We're searching for a Director of Growth Marketing to lead our demand generation and product-led growth strategy.

You'll own our global growth marketing programs—managing inbound funnel performance, developing new pipeline sources, and improving conversion rates from interest to adoption. This role combines marketing strategy with technical experimentation, requiring someone comfortable with both data-driven campaigns and hands-on website optimization. Our products reach over one billion end users worldwide. Why This Role MattersMarketing to developers requires specific expertise and constant adaptation. In the past 18 months, SEO and demand generation have changed significantly due to AI and new search behaviors.

Traditional marketing tactics often fail with technical audiences, and the methods for reaching developers keep shifting—from search engine algorithms to how content appears in AI-generated responses. We need someone who can navigate these changes while maintaining our growth momentum. Most of our success has come from inbound interest, but we need to diversify our approach. Key challenges include keeping our content visible in both traditional search and AI tools, creating campaigns that work for technical audiences, and running growth experiments that generate qualified leads.

Success means more developers finding, testing, and buying Nutrient's solutions for document processing and automation. What You Will DoLead Growth Strategy Across Channels: Own our growth marketing strategy across SEO/SEM, content marketing, social media, paid campaigns, email nurturing, and website optimization. Balance inbound and outbound programs to drive awareness, signups, and pipeline. Drive Product-Led Growth & Demand Gen: Develop campaigns that convert developers and decision-makers at each funnel stage. Work with Product and Engineering to improve onboarding and free-to-paid conversion. Coordinate with Sales to convert marketing-qualified leads into opportunities, including account-based marketing for key targets. Optimize Web & Conversion Funnels:

Test and improve landing pages, signup flows, and user journeys to increase conversion rates from traffic to trial to purchase. You'll own website performance (working with Growth Engineers and designers) and ensure it effectively reaches technical audiences. Manage SEO in the AI Era: Oversee SEO and content strategy for visibility in both search engines and AI-driven search tools. Test new approaches for Google's AI overviews and LLM content indexing. Track algorithm updates and adjust tactics to maintain organic traffic. Run Data-Driven Experiments: Design A/B tests and growth experiments across campaigns and product funnels.

Monitor key metrics (traffic, sign-ups, activation rates, CAC, LTV) and use data to guide decisions. Share insights with the team to inform strategy. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Product Marketing on positioning and launches, Developer Relations on community growth, and Sales/CS on supporting deals. Connect teams to build a unified go-to-market approach and ensure consistent messaging. Lead the Team: Manage a small team of growth marketers and engineers. Set strategy while also executing tactics when needed. Create an environment focused on results, learning, and accountability to meet growth targets. What You'll BringProven Growth Marketing Experience:

8+ years in growth marketing, demand generation, or digital marketing, preferably in B2B SaaS or developer-focused products. Track record of building and scaling marketing programs across paid, organic, and lifecycle channels with measurable pipeline/revenue growth. Technical Background: Comfortable with code and technical content. Ideally you have an engineering background, technical degree, or have worked at developer-tools or infrastructure companies. You can communicate effectively with developers and technical teams. Some coding experience is a plus. SEO, Content & Analytics Expertise: Strong understanding of modern SEO/SEM strategies, content marketing, and conversion optimization.

Current knowledge of how search algorithms and AI affect content discovery. Proficient with web analytics, marketing automation, and A/B testing tools. Familiar with metrics like CAC, LTV, MQL, SQL and how to improve them. Strategic and Hands-On: Can set high-level strategy and execute detailed tactics. Comfortable creating quarterly growth plans and also writing copy or adjusting landing pages. Able to identify opportunities and implement solutions with attention to detail. Leadership & Collaboration: Experience leading and mentoring teams while influencing cross-functional stakeholders. Strong communication skills for presenting results and coordinating with product, engineering, sales, and executive teams. Adaptability and Drive:

Works well in fast-paced, changing environments. Quick to learn new tools and adapt to market shifts. Prefers testing and iterating over lengthy analysis. Results-driven with focus on measurable growth. Bonus Points: Experience marketing to IT audiences (developers, DevOps, CIOs); familiarity with document management or workflow automation; success growing freemium or open-source developer products; technical writing skills or developer community engagement. Who Thrives HereWe hire for both skills and mindset. The people who succeed here are: Low-Ego Collaborators: Work across disciplines, listen actively, and prioritize team success. Fast Learners: Quickly grasp new concepts and technologies. Curious Thinkers:

Dig deep to understand root causes and context. Self-Starters: Take action without waiting for direction. Owners: Take responsibility for outcomes and continuously improve. Doers: Focus on progress and tangible results. (If you've made it this far, let us know which emerging marketing channel or trend you believe is most effective for reaching developers today – and which one you think is overrated, and why. )Why You'll Love Working HereAt Nutrient, you'll work on products that thousands of organizations and millions of users rely on daily for document workflows.

Our team is distributed globally, with strong backing from our €100M investment from Insight Partners. We provide autonomy to define strategies, run experiments, and deliver results in a high-growth environment. We maintain a remote-first, low-meeting culture with asynchronous communication and flexible schedules. We hold an annual global retreat (past locations: Croatia, Spain, Greece) for team building and celebrating achievements. We offer competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits. You'll market products that developers actually use and appreciate, with direct impact on customer success. Nutrient is an equal opportunity employer committed to building an inclusive global workforce.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Ready to apply? We look forward to hearing from you.
