Job Title:  Senior Analyst – Supervision (Insurance)Location:  BermudaSalary:  $113k - $118kAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and capable Senior Analyst to join the Supervision (Insurance) Department, with a focus on the long-term (life) insurance and reinsurance sector. Reporting to a Principal, the Senior Analyst will play a key role in conducting supervisory reviews, solvency capital evaluations, statutory return analysis, and oversight of a portfolio of life (re)insurance companies.

This position offers the opportunity to engage directly with senior management and boards of registered insurers, contribute to regulatory assessments, and support the development of action plans to ensure compliance with international standards. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct supervisory reviews, statutory return analysis, and solvency capital evaluations of life (re)insurance companies. Assist with day-to-day engagement with senior management, boards, and external stakeholders, including global regulators. Perform risk-focused on-site reviews, applying risk assessment methodologies to evaluate compliance with laws, regulations, and policies. Prepare reports, recommendations, and remedial action plans in collaboration with senior colleagues.

Monitor market developments in the insurance sector, both locally and internationally, including regulatory changes and accounting standards. Review and analyse applications from new life (re)insurance companies seeking authorisation to operate. Support stakeholder enquiries by providing informed advice and recommendations. Contribute to departmental projects, policy development, and other ad-hoc assignments as required. Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, actuarial science, insurance, risk management, or a related field; or equivalent professional qualification. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry, ideally within the long-term insurance sector. Knowledge of international regulatory systems for life (re)insurers (e. g.

, US RBC, Solvency II) is advantageous. Understanding of global capital markets and life (re)insurance products would be an asset. Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholders. Resilient, adaptable, and able to maintain motivation when managing competing demands. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences.
