Job DescriptionAssisting the Construction Supervisor, this is a hands-on, practical role undertaking installation and minor maintenance activities across a range of construction projects within the Macraes mine site.
If you’re a practical, mechanically minded individual that knows your way around large operating equipment, read on! Initially, this role will work on a 9-day fortnight structure, 7am – 4: 30pm, with a 3-day weekend every fortnight (subject to change). Key Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform daily inspections on the infrastructure, embankments, and pipelines associated with water supply systemsParticipate in the construction of minor earthworks, pipework, fencing and site infrastructure activitiesPreform general repairs and maintenance on pump and pipework installationsUndertake relevant compliance monitoring and reporting.
Oversee contractors to ensure compliance with safety systems project scope and site policiesOperate earthmoving equipment undertaking minor civil projects as requiredQualificationsTrade qualification in engineering, construction or similar an advantageFull and current Drivers Licence, competent driving manual vehiclesExperience: Practical experience in a mining construction or trade roleAbove average level of mechanical aptitude requiredEquipment operating experience an advantageRigging and slinging experience an advantageAdditional InformationResidential role, live and work in the stunning region of Otago, NZ. 9-day fortnight structure, 7am – 4:
