Job Summary: The Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the resort during their shift, ensuring an exceptional guest experience aligned with luxury hospitality standards. Working within a unique desert glamping environment, the Duty Manager acts as the primary point of contact for guests and staff, handling any issues that arise while maintaining the highest level of service, safety, and efficiency across departments. Job Responsibilities: Supervise all operational departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Activities) during assigned shifts. Act as the senior contact for guests, resolving complaints and special requests professionally and promptly.
Conduct regular inspections of domes, public areas, pools, and guest activity areas to ensure standards are upheld. Monitor and support guest check-ins/check-outs, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience. Liaise with the kitchen, housekeeping, and activity teams to coordinate timely service delivery. Ensure staff adherence to safety, hygiene, and quality protocols specific to desert operations. Prepare shift reports and communicate key information to management and upcoming shifts. Manage emergency situations in accordance with resort safety procedures. Support event setups, VIP guest preparations, and special occasions (e. g. , anniversaries, engagements).
Uphold sustainability practices in line with the resort’s eco-luxury positioning. Train and guide junior team members, offering real-time coaching to ensure continuous improvement. Job Qualifications: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory or duty manager role in a 4 or 5-star resort/hotel. Prior experience in luxury, eco-tourism, or desert resort settings is highly preferred. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and guest service skills. Ability to handle pressure and make quick, effective decisions. Excellent communication in English (Arabic or other languages a plus). Knowledge of hotel PMS (e. g. , Opera, Cloudbeds) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required. Valid UAE driving license preferred.
