The Securities & Derivative Analyst 1 is an entry level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from sales desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in Fixed Income Sales activities, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.Job Purpose:C9 level role within the Fixed Income Cash Sales Middle Office in Japan who supports Cash Fixed Income Sales activities (Rates, Credit, Muni, Mortgage)The team is based across Tokyo and Okinawa and has global exposureHandle multiple BAU tasks at a time; ensure trades are booked correctly, ensure trade confirmations are sent timely, work with our clients and business acting as point of contact to resolve any queries in collaboration with regional / global and internal/ external stakeholdersRecommend solutions to resolve complex issuesPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor’s/University degreeRelevant experience in Fixed Income or Equity Cash Sales Middle Office, or Fixed Income Settlement Operations (preferred)Demonstrated comprehension of Fixed Income (preferred)Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactiveStrong, influential communicator who is articulate and concise, demonstrated success interacting with stakeholders in the business as well as the Operations, and TechnologiesStrong risk management and control mindsetSelf-reliant, good problem solver, results orientedJapanese: native or business level for both writing and speaking where client service can be providedEnglish: business levelThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
