We are currently seeking candidates who are up for the challenge of operating in a high-growth, purpose-driven organisation.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Oligonucleotide Chemist to join our innovative research team in Lystrup, Denmark. In this role, you will be responsible for the synthesis, modification, and analysis of oligonucleotides for various applications in therapeutics and diagnostics.Design and synthesise custom oligonucleotides using automated synthesisers and manual techniquesDevelop and optimise methods for oligonucleotide modification and conjugationDevelop and optimise purification methods for various modified oligonucleotides and conjugates. Perform analytical characterisation of oligonucleotides using HPLC, mass spectrometry, and other relevant techniquesTroubleshoot synthesis and purification processes to improve yield and qualityCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support research and development projectsMaintain accurate records of experiments and results in accordance with laboratory protocolsContribute to the development of new oligonucleotide-based technologies and applicationsEnsure compliance with safety regulations and quality control standardsPrepare technical reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholdersQualificationsMasters degree in chemistry or a relevant field plus industrial experience. Extensive knowledge of nucleic acid chemistry and oligonucleotide synthesis techniquesProven expertise in using automated synthesisers and manual synthesis methodsProficiency in analytical techniques, particularly HPLC and mass spectrometryStrong problem-solving skills and ability to optimise complex chemical processesExcellent data analysis and interpretation abilitiesExperience with quality control procedures and GMP regulationsUnderstanding of nucleic acid therapeutics and diagnostics applicationsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative research environmentStrong organisational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishConversational DanishAdditional InformationABOUT LGC:LGC is a leading, global life science tools company, providing mission-critical components and solutions into high-growth application areas across the human healthcare and applied market segments.
