Role Objectives: Responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating aircraft maintenance tasks in the short-term horizon—typically from 24 hours up to one week. The role ensures that all planned maintenance activities are executed efficiently and on time, with minimal disruption to the flight schedule, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements. Duties & Responsibilities: - Develop and update short-term maintenance plans (daily, weekly), based on aircraft utilization, maintenance requirements, and operational schedules. - Coordinate scheduled maintenance tasks such as A-checks, service checks, defect rectification, AD/SB compliance, and component replacements.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Line Maintenance, Base Maintenance, Integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC), and Engineering departments. - Responsible for communicating with Network planning & MCC on all issues dealing with aircraft technical and operational status. - Act as a liaison between CAMO, maintenance, and the operations team to align technical needs with flight schedules. - Prepare, compile, and issue detailed work packages including task cards, technical documents, and materials requirements when required. - Monitor the execution of planned maintenance and reschedule tasks if delays or disruptions occur. - Ensuring the effective and efficient planning of maintenance events within their respective due dates.
- Maintain visibility of critical maintenance tasks and coordinate corrective actions when required. - Use Maintenance Information Systems (AMOS) to update task status, aircraft availability, and compliance records. - Control & Monitor A/C rotation for timely availability for maintenance under restricted FH/FC. - Re-Scheduling Maintenance during Disruptions due to AOGs. - Allocate Tail Numbers for Base Trainings / Lessor inspections. - Arrange ground time for C of A inspection of Aircraft as per CAMO requirement. - Makeshift arrangements for Upgrade / Downgrade (if possible) to create Maintenance ground time requested by Maintenance Planning or MCC.
- Ensure aircraft is properly utilized and meet all maintenance input, scheduled and Unscheduled. - In conjunction with Maintenance Planning, review any extra flights requirements as requested by NP / IOCC. - Communicate on all extra flights with MCC / Manager Out station to ensure adequate technical coverage is available. - Liaison with other departments to request any urgent down time required for maintenance when requested by MCC. - Ensure all planned maintenance activities comply with applicable aviation authority regulations (e. g. , EASA, FAA and Oman CAA). - Follow company policies, Procedures and safety management requirements related to planning and scheduling.
- Working in shift pattern and carry out any other tasks as directed by the Manager Maintenance Planning, ensuring timely and effective completion of all assigned duties. - Other duties and tasks that may be assigned by management. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering field preferably in Aviation ORICAO Type II license with minimum 4. 5 years in airline engineering division. PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, CERTIFICATION OR MEMBERSHIPs: - Understanding of Maintenance Planning- Basic understanding of Continued Airworthiness Management Organization SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiarization with aviation software, while experience with AMOS would be an advantage- Proficiency in English (Spoken & Written)- Proficiency in MS Office- Time management and planning skills
