Role PurposeProvide complete plans for new Primary and Secondary fixed network (Copper/FOC/GPON), issuing work orders to the contractors, supervise the contractor’s implementation stage, conduct site survey for OSP Network Protection, ensure saving of existing network, patrolling to protect Copper/FOC cables from damage and raise the reports for damaged cables to concern at the team to follow concerned Authorities such (Municipality and ROP). 3-6 years of experience Key Accountabilities Network Design “Cooper and Fiber” for Backbone, 5G Sites, LTE, Access Protection, P2P, Microwave to FOC, FTTH, OLT). Update all designs in GCOMM for all (new /old) projects. Initial plan & Data analysis Strategic plan Preparation & approvals Quarterly Analysis and requirements for the year and future Planas well. Manage end-to-end projects to ensure they are completed on time and schedule and within budget. Maintain the project’s contract commitments and obligations. Review the excavation permit issues by OSP team and raise the required comments.
Conduct survey and supervise the work done by internal and external contractors. Works with and support constituent Project Managers to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance for new projects. Build up relations with Authorities to help expedite the approvals process. Prepare periodic reports on the progress of the works implemented and highlight any issues on a timely basis. Provide regular updates to management on status, issues, capacity, achievements, etc. Manage, follow, and make sure that all WOs and Projects are under Omantel standers. Supervising and monitoring the WOs progress.
Prepare the ongoing periodical progress reports during the program/project life cycle (Project Follow up) Design effective multiple reports for specific teams and stakeholders’ groups, according to the program/project needs to ensure smooth progress. Monitor the program schedule and meet with the contractors/vendors. Report to (management) within Omantel to explain the program progress and justify any requested changes to the planned program/ projects.
