Job Description

General Purpose and Scope Brava in the U. S. Virgin Islands is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) who will be responsible for prospecting, identifying, and securing sales opportunities, targeting both existing customers and potential leads. This role requires a deep understanding of the ICT and managed services industry, as well as the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure. A significant portion of the role involves cold calling, cross-selling, and upselling services, with the goal of driving revenue growth through tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of each customer.

The BDM is expected to maintain exceptional professional standards while managing a robust portfolio of business and consistently exceeding sales targets. Duties And Responsibilities Proactively engage in cold calling to identify new business opportunities, targeting key stakeholders within accounts. Leverage industry expertise to make informed decisions that align with customer needs and business objectives, particularly in fast-paced or high-pressure situations. Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the telecommunications and managed services industry, particularly within the U. S. Virgin Islands region, to better inform sales strategies and customer interactions.

Manage and grow assigned accounts, utilizing strategic account planning to upsell managed and value-add services. Effectively manage the sales pipeline and forecasting requirements, ensuring alignment with company revenue goals. Lead the preparation of proposals, bids, and tenders for all revenue opportunities, with a focus on delivering customized solutions that exceed customer expectations. Cultivate long-term relationships with customers through regular communication, including cold outreach, meetings, and networking events, to ensure ongoing satisfaction and identify additional sales opportunities. Work closely with senior leadership and executive management to accelerate customer engagement and drive sales strategies.

Gain a thorough understanding of competitors and their customer base to strategically position the company’s managed services portfolio. Present business outlooks per the business needs. Update CRM software daily with all sales activities and utilize data insights to enhance selling techniques and account penetration. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business management, or a minimum of five (5) years of solution sales experience in the ICT or managed services industry. Proven track record of at least five (5) years in selling to C-level executives, with a strong focus on cold calling, decision-making, and account management.

Detailed understanding of the telecommunications and ICT/ managed services industry, including cloud services, enterprise networks, and IP-based solutions. Strong communication skills in all forms, including written, oral, email, and presentation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage competing demands and prioritize tasks. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with acute attention to detail. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams fordocumentation, reporting, collaboration, and project management. Understanding of the importance of KPIs in measuring progress, decision making, and accountability. Ability to work collaboratively within a geographically dispersed matrix structure.

Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and deliver projects.
