Operations Business Analyst, Banking (1-year renewable contract)We are seeking an experienced Operations Business Analyst to join our banking client on a 1-year renewable contract. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver process improvements, system enhancements, and operational efficiencies across the bank’s middle- and back-office functions.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the bridge between operations teams and technology to gather, document, and validate business requirements.Analyze existing processes and identify areas for automation, workflow streamlining, and efficiency gains.Support the implementation of system enhancements and process re-engineering initiatives.Prepare functional specifications, user stories, and workflows to support project delivery.Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing), including test case preparation, execution, and defect management.Work with stakeholders to ensure smooth project rollouts, change adoption, and operational readiness.Provide ongoing support and documentation for operational processes.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, IT, or a related field.At least 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst within the banking/financial services sector.Strong understanding of banking operations (middle and back office), ideally with exposure to settlements, reconciliations, payments, or regulatory reporting.Solid knowledge of business analysis methodologies, process mapping, and workflow tools.Hands-on experience in UAT coordination, requirement gathering, and functional documentation.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
