Freelancer OpportunityJob title: Ericsson 5GC & CNIS Operational EngineerJob location: Brussels, BelgiumJob duration: 2025-11-03 to 2026-12-31Job hours: 40 hrs./weekRole description:We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Operational Consultant with deep expertise in Ericsson 5G Core (5GC) and the Cloud Native Infrastructure Solution (CNIS) to support the day-to-day operations of our mobile data network. The consultant will be embedded within our operational team and will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and evolving our Ericsson 5GC platform deployed on our telco-cloud and more specific on the new CNIS infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Perform daily operational tasks on the Ericsson 5GC and CNIS platforms, including:Alarm monitoring and resolutionConfiguration changes and updatesHealth checks and performance tuningSoftware upgrades and patchingCollaborate with internal teams and Ericsson support to resolve incidents and implement preventive measures.Maintain and optimize CNIS components such as CCD (Cloud Container Distribution), PCC, PCG, and SDI infrastructure.Support container lifecycle management, deployment and scaling of CNFs.Participate in integration and migration activities, including onboarding of new network functions and services.Document operational procedures and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.Technical Skills Required:Ericsson 5GC Core: Deep understanding of the 5GC architecture, including AMF, SMF, UPF, UDM, AUSF, PCF, NRF, and NSSF.CNIS Expertise: Hands-on experience with Ericsson CNIS platform. Spine/Leaf switches setup.Cloud & Container Technologies:KubernetesBare-metal and virtualized deploymentsCI/CD pipelines and automation toolsNetworking & Security:IP networking, VLANs, routing, firewall configurationDDoS protection and monitoringVPN and secure access protocolsSoft Skills & Behavioral CompetenciesOperational Mindset: Strong sense of ownership and accountability for platform stability and performance.Problem Solving: Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and incident resolution.Collaboration: Effective communicator who can work closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors.Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving technologies and priorities.Knowledge Sharing: Willingness to mentor and transfer knowledge to internal team members.Documentation: Ability to produce clear and concise operational documentation and reports.Language:EnglishRemarks:Remote working is a possibility.Ready to make a difference?Apply now and start your journey with Team Possible!
