You will be working with the technologies of tomorrow, building the products of the future – electric, connected and automated. In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions.You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several local and international on the job-rotations and work on business-critical projects developing your competencies for tomorrow. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end-to-end supply chain, aftermarket parts and our remanufacturing operations. With over 1700 employees, we are one of Northern Sweden’s largest industries. We produce cabs for Volvo Trucks, with everything from stamping sheet metal to welding and painting complete cabs. The team is a support function focusing on developing overall quality management of the site, as well as supporting the production organization with methods and tools. Join us on our journey where you can make a difference!Main Activities And ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of quality management at our factory. Your mission is to elevate our standards by developing world-class quality systems and benchmarking best practices from other Volvo sites. You will implement sustainable solutions for quality assurance and control that create a real impact on performance and customer satisfaction. Beyond systems, you will inspire a culture of continuous growth, using proven methodologies like Kaizen, focused improvements, and advanced root cause analysis to solve obstacles and unlock potential. Collaboration is at the heart of this position — you will work closely with quality teams across multiple sites and partner with the production organization in Umeå to ensure excellence in every step of the process.Who are you? We believe that you have a background in operations management, industrial engineering, quality management, or a related field. You have an insightful mindset and the ability to identify strategic priorities as well as paying attention to detail in your daily work. Your communication skills are strong, both written and verbal, in Swedish and English.We would like you to have knowledge and technical skills in areas such as data analysis, process mapping, and statistical methods. To succeed in this role, we believe that you have an interest in quality management, including tools and methodologies such as Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.As a person, you have an open-minded and proactive mindset and a willingness to seek, initiate and facilitate improvement activities. You need to be resilient in problem-solving and be able to work and collaborate in diverse teams.Required Knowledge/experienceMSc or BSc in operations management, industrial engineering, quality management, or equivalentKnowledge in data and statistical analysisKnowledge in Quality management toolsMaximum two years of previous full-time working experience, prior to or after graduation.
