Numbering is a relevant component of our offer and a key enabler of our solutions, as iBASIS Messaging sees itself as the last mile to the end user operator companies and as a bridge between the traffic owners and the end user networks.ABOUT THE ROLESeeking experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a background in telecom systems, IP networking, and data center operations. Skilled in planning, deploying, and supporting international telecommunication networks, with hands-on expertise in field service operations across global environments.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform data center installations and transmission turn-ups from planning phase through to successful completion. Manage related project status tracking and asset inventory.Provide technical support for iBasis' global network, resolving complex network issues in collaboration with equipment vendors & internal teams.Provide remote support to technical teams & 3rd party local support across global sites, ensuring reliability, safety compliance, and infrastructure integrity.Develop and implement SOPs and MOPs; maintain accurate technical documentation. Knowledge of Netbox Asset Management application a plus.Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule for operational support.Evaluate supplier quotes, manage procurement communications, and ensure alignment with budget and billing processes.Assist with data center design and operation, including space/power planning, layout, and capacity management.QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBSEE or equivalent required.3–5 years of experience in the telecom industry.2+ years in field operations involving planning and supporting complex telecommunication networks.REQUIREMENTSStrong understanding of telecom protocols & OSI model.Proficient with telecom test equipment and tools.Hands-on experience with:Data Center ManagementCable ManagementIP Address ManagementAsset Inventory ManagementChange Management Review processProficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, Netbox, experience with project management and maintaining technical documentation a plus.SOFT SKILLSExcellent written and verbal communication.Ability to work remotely & independently under pressure.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Strong English skills a must.OTHER REQUIREMENTSCurrent PassportMust be able to lift and move equipment up to 50lbs, climb ladders and perform physical tasks at installation sites.Comfortable working in a 24/7 on-call environment.WHAT WE OFFER:Contract Type: Full-time position with flexible working hours and a hybrid work model of 3 days per week in office.Annual Leave: 25 days of paid vacation per year.Health Insurance: Comprehensive coverage included.Wellness Program: Access to a wide range of services through established partner protocols.
