With over 20 years of experience, we support clients worldwide in solar, wind, and energy storage projects.Summary:The O&M Regional Manager is responsible for managing the operations and maintenance of solar PV plants in Australia. This role ensures optimal performance, safety, and compliance of all assets, while leading a team of Site Supervisors and subcontractors, including the Full O&M Contractor. The manager will also drive continuous improvement, cost efficiency, and root cause analysis of operational events.Duties and responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of solar PV plants across the region supported by the Site Supervisor.Ensure high plant availability and performance through preventive and corrective maintenance.Lead and supervise regional O&M teams.Develop and implement monitoring protocols and reporting systems.Ensure the annual preventive maintenance (PAM) is performed by the O&M Contractor as planned and with appropriate quality.Ensure spare parts inventory, tools, and logistics for field operations.Monitor KPIs and generate performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.Coordinate with engineering, asset management, and customer service teams.Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.Identify and implement technical improvements and best practices.Qualifications and ExperienceFamiliarity with EPC/O&M contract structures and their implications for bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related field).5+ years of experience in solar PV operations and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.Strong knowledge of PV system components, SCADA, and monitoring platforms.Proven leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Willingness to travel frequently within the regionPreferred skills:Experience with CMMS and digital maintenance tools.Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and grid compliance.Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.Personal AttributesProactive leader who thrives in collaborative, multidisciplinary settings.Strong problem solver with the ability to balance technical detail against project priorities and commercial outcomes.Organised, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities.Excellent communicator with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholdersResident statusCitizen or Permanent residentsBenefitsCompetitive salary.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Flexible, collaborative and inclusive work environment.Access to the latest tools and technologies in the renewable energy sector.
