The ideal candidate is one who enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, thrives on challenges and is willing to learn to keep abreast of the latest in aviation technology. Job Summary: We’re looking for an Operations Manager (Aviation Line Maintenance) to support our team. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our line maintenance operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of aircraft maintenance activities. This critical leadership role requires a minimum of 10 years of comprehensive experience within the Aircraft Line Maintenance, including at least 5 years in a dedicated managerial capacity. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of aviation regulations, maintenance processes, and strong leadership capabilities to manage and develop high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities:Operational Leadership & Oversight:·        Direct and manage all day-to-day line maintenance operations across designated stations/regions, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.·        Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and enhance service delivery while maintaining the highest safety standards.·        Monitor operational performance metrics, analyse data, and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.·        Oversee resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet operational demands effectively.Team Management & Development:·        Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of line maintenance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence.·        Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and support career progression for team members.·        Manage staffing levels, recruitment, and retention initiatives to ensure adequate skilled personnel.·        Promote effective communication and collaboration within the operations team and with other departments.Safety & Regulatory Compliance:·        Ensure strict compliance with all national and international aviation regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA, CAAS), company policies, and safety management system (SMS) requirements.·        Possess a full and current understanding of aviation maintenance guidance and regulations set forth by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).·        Conducting regular safety audits, incident investigations, and implementing preventative measures.·        Liaise with regulatory authorities during audits and inspections, ensuring all documentation and processes meet required standards.Financial & Resource Management:·        Manage operational budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising safety or quality.·        Oversee the procurement and maintenance of tools, equipment, and ground support equipment (GSE) necessary for line maintenance activities.Stakeholder Communication & Relationship Management:·        Act as a primary point of contact for airline customers, airport authorities, and other external stakeholders regarding line maintenance operations.·        Collaborate closely with internal departments such as Quality Assurance, Planning, Logistics, and Human Resources to ensure seamless operations.·        Provide regular operational reports and updates to senior management.Problem Solving & Crisis Management:·        Lead the response to operational disruptions, technical issues, and unforeseen challenges, ensuring swift resolution and minimal impact on operations.·        Implement robust contingency plans for various operational scenarios. Qualifications:·        Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field. An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME/AMT) license is a must.·        Minimum of 10 years of experience in the aviation industry, specifically within aircraft line maintenance operations. And at least 5 years of proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role overseeing line maintenance teams and operations.·        Demonstrable experience with various aircraft types (e.g., Boeing, Airbus, regional jets).·        Strong background in aviation safety management systems (SMS) and quality assurance.·        In-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures, best practices, and industry standards.·        Proficiency in maintenance management software and ERP systems relevant to aviation·        Strong analytical skills for operational data analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).·        Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities, with a proven ability to motivate and manage large teams.·        Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.·        Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.·        Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is highly preferred for international business context.
