Job Description — Operations ManagerBYD Argentina S.A.Reports to: Country manager/HQ business team.Location: Buenos Aires, ArgentinaKey ResponsibilitiesProject Management: Lead the implementation of new product introductions, process optimizations, and plant improvement projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.Commercial PlanningLogistics: Inbound Logistics: Oversee procurement transportation, customs clearance, and warehousing of automotive parts from international suppliers. Outbound Logistics: Oversee distribution of finished vehicles to dealers. Cost & Budget Management: Manage the operations budget, implementing cost optimization strategies and ensuring efficient resource utilization.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with applicable local regulations and internal company policies.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Finance, HR, and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth business operations and alignment across departments.Team Leadership: Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous development.External Relations: Coordinate with strategic suppliers, regulatory authorities, and industry associations to support business operations and market positioning.RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering, or a related field. A postgraduate degree or MBA is a plus.Experience: Minimum of 7 years in leadership roles within the automotive sector.Languages: Native Spanish, fluent English (Mandarin Chinese is a plus).Technical Knowledge:ERP systems (SAP), production planning systems (MES)
