Manage all aspects of the production function to ensure timely production of high-quality products, in a safe and environmentally responsible manner while maintaining cost efficiencies. Additionally, you'll continually monitor and adjust plant and organizational goals to align with corporate objectives.ResponsibilitiesManage all production activity for a 4 shift (24/7) operation; provide periodic production reports. Maintain compliance with Quality, Health, Environmental and Safety. Coordinate appropriate product, raw materials, off-site waste disposal and product inventories.Ensure all regulatory, external and internal, requirements are met. This includes, but is not limited to: participating in PHAs, investigating incidents and driving/coordinating closure of action items.Ensure timely reporting, investigating, root cause analysis, and corrective implementation of all accidents and incidents within the manufacturing departmentProvide technical expertise for chemical process aspects of safe operation of plant, manages changes to processes. Manage the development, documentation, and implementation of SOP's, JSA’s, and work instructions for the plant, as well as procedures relating to regulatory, training and quality program compliance.Maintain and promote a positive work environment through closed loop feedback, collaborative discussions and team communications Manage the safe work conditions and practices, uphold, interpret, and enforce company Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality policies and applicable federal laws, including training, reporting and compliance. Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing processes and systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.Identify and manage cost improvement and lead the development and execution of cost improvement plans. Supports new or improved product trials and develops plant process requirements for product improvements.Ensure that ongoing proficiency training to employees is conducted to improve skills and to keep current with technology.Ensure the plant is maintained in a clean, organized and safe manner. Coordinates with maintenance supervisor on preventive maintenance schedule to avoid down time.Develop production supervisors to include knowledge on processes, continuous improvements and methods of employee engagementParticipates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company-required training programs.Ensure the achievement, maintenance and continual improvement of procedures and policies conforming to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO50001 standards and any other certifications that affect your facility.QualificationsBS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other technical field required.MBA preferred.Requirements10+ years of experience in a similar industry, with a strong background in production management.Previous supervisory experience is required, demonstrating the ability to lead and manage a team effectively.Strong leadership skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.A continuous improvement mindset, with a proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive work environment and collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address production issues and drive efficiency improvements.
