Optery is a fast-growing startup tackling one of today’s most pressing issues: data privacy. We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented contract recruiter to help us scale our team with top-tier talent. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers across multiple departments — including Product, Engineering, GTM, Finance & Ops, Marketing, Legal, and more — to help identify, engage, and guide exceptional candidates through our hiring funnel. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment and wants to make meaningful contributions without needing full-time hours. 🧠 What You’ll Do:
Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for a variety of complex and niche roles. Partner with hiring managers to align on hiring needs and develop recruiting strategies. Provide a high-touch candidate experience. Continuously improve our recruiting practices, tools, and workflows, using data to inform decisions. Uphold and elevate our talent bar across all roles. Source candidates via LinkedIn and other platforms to build a strong top-of-funnel pipeline. Screen resumes and conduct video screens to assess fit, experience, and communication. Coordinate and schedule interviews across time zones using Ashby.
Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, candidate profiles, and hiring goals. Maintain clear candidate records and pipeline tracking in Excel/Google Sheets and our ATS. Help optimize recruiting workflows and the candidate experience. Communicate with clarity and professionalism to both candidates and internal stakeholders. Provide ad hoc support for recruiting operations by assisting with various hiring tasks as needed. ✅ What We’re Looking For: 5+ years of recruiting experience in fast-paced, high-growth VC backed startup environments Demonstrated success in hiring for complex and niche roles with high hiring standards (e. g. , CISO, Technical, Product, Marketing, GTM).
Comfortable working independently in a remote, part-time setting. Proficient in ATS systems (e. g. , Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, Breezy). Strong experience using LinkedIn Recruiter or other platforms for proactive and creative sourcing. Excellent resume screening and candidate vetting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills — clear, thoughtful, and professional. Comfortable working in Google Sheets, Excel, and G Suite tools. Available to work during U. S. business hours across time zones. Bonus: Experience recruiting in the cybersecurity industry. LocationWhile Optery is a fully-remote global team, this position is based in the United States and is required to work regular U. S.
business hours, i. e. in the U. S. Eastern, Central, Mountain, and/or Pacific time zones.
