About the RoleWe are looking for an organized Chief Accountant, with strategic thinking and solid experience in retail, who will coordinate the financial-accounting team, ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial records, and collaborate with management for informed decisions. Experience with Charisma ERP and/or SAP is essential. Main responsibilities: Oversee full cycle accounting processes, including general ledger entries and account reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled. Coordinate financial transactions data entry and document management, related to purchases, sales, receivables, payables, receipts, payments and treasury.

Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes with complete and accurate financial reports. Preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable legislation (RAS and IFRS);Ensure complete statutory accounting and tax compliance business processes. Review and reconcile trial balances in accordance with monthly reporting deadlines. Prepare the company financial statements according to Romanian Legislation. Hands-on bookkeeping of accounting transactions within the accounting system, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets etc;Proactive support for zone reporting and controlling team. Prepare tax calculations and declarations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the Romanian tax legislation.

Assist with the timely preparation and filing of all tax-related returns. Ensure company policies affecting taxes are compliant with applicable regulations. Maintain professional relationships with tax authorities and manage the financial audits effectively. Supporting management in decision-making processes through relevant reporting. Conduct treasury balances reviews. Produce and maintain internal reports as requested by management (e. g. , CAPEX projects, re-invoicing services);Optimizing accounting processes and proposing improvements in the ERP systemPrepare statistical reports as required by authorities. Liaise with tax and accounting service providers and support the accounting and tax compliance activities improvement and automatization. Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting, of which at least 3-5 years in a management position. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret complex financial data, identify patterns, and provide valuable insights. Ability to lead and motivate a team, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive financial initiatives within the organization. Relevant experience in retail - preferably companies with a network of stores or national chains.

Solid knowledge of accounting and tax legislation/certified Accountant (CECCAR member) – must haveAdvanced practical experience with Charisma ERP – mandatory and/or SAP (both ERP systems represent an advantage)Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office and other financial reporting tools. Very good capacity for analysis and synthesis, attention to details; Coordination, planning and prioritization skills. Person with good communication skills, mature, balanced, with a proactive, responsible attitude. Analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to work with strict deadlines.
