Job Title: Organisational Development (OD) Specialist – 4-Month ContractReporting to: Head of Organisational EffectivenessLocation: Hybrid (Remote & Office-Based)Duration: 4 MonthsType: Fixed-Term ContractPurpose of the RoleThe OD Specialist will provide strategic and operational support to the Organisational Effectiveness function by designing, implementing, and managing key organisation development and talent initiatives. The focus of this short-term contract will be to drive execution of critical OD projects, including competency framework maintenance, assessment centre setup, leadership development, wellbeing initiatives, and employee engagement activities.Key Deliverables / ResponsibilitiesOrganisational Development ProjectsAnalyse, design, and deliver key OD initiatives aligned to business needs.Support the implementation of the organisation’s competency framework and OD processes.Conduct research and benchmarking to support OD strategy and best practices.Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.Leadership and Talent DevelopmentCoordinate and facilitate leadership development and team effectiveness sessions.Oversee coaching and mentorship programme activities.Support career pathing and individual development planning initiatives.Assessment Centre DevelopmentSet up and operationalise the RMA Assessment Centre.Manage assessments for recruitment and development purposes.Debrief assessment results and provide developmental feedback.Employee Wellbeing and EngagementExecute the holistic employee wellbeing strategy and track outcomes.Support the rollout and analysis of the annual employee engagement survey.Facilitate employee focus groups and assist in developing action plans.Stakeholder ManagementProvide OD consulting support to line managers and business leaders.Manage external consultants and facilitators to ensure high-quality delivery.Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum Qualifications:BA (Honours) in Industrial Psychology (NQF 7)Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology (essential)Registered with HPCSA as an Industrial Psychologist or PsychometristExperience:Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Organisational Development or Talent ManagementDemonstrated experience in assessment centres, leadership development, and wellbeing initiativesProven track record of facilitation and consulting at various organisational levelsCompetenciesStrong OD consulting and diagnostic skillsExcellent project management and delivery focusHigh-level stakeholder engagement and facilitation skillsAnalytical thinker with strong attention to detailAbility to work independently and deliver within tight deadlinesContract OfferDuration: 4 months (possibility of extension)Remuneration: Market-related (based on experience)Work Arrangement: Hybrid – flexible remote work and onsite collaboration
