Origination & Development Manager

Manoa Energy is dedicated to accelerating the renewable energy transition in Japan. We are looking for energetic, intellectual, curious, and ambitious people to join our team to drive the acquisition, development, and construction of a large portfolio of renewable energy projects in Japan. If you are looking to make an impact, are passionate about renewable energy, have both quantitative and strong communication skills, we would love to talk to you!Goal is to support the Manoa team to acquire, develop and manage the renewable energy projects and grid scale BESS projects to accelerate Manoa Energy’s pipeline.Your responsibilities include project acquisition and development, assessing projects, negotiating with stakeholders, submitting all related permits. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. If you are looking for a dynamic role in a such field, we invite you to apply and contribute to our team’s success.Core Responsibilities :Management of project pipelines Collaboration with local developers, real estate brokers, and landowners to gather information on potential projects Managing the pipeline list and updating its status to follow up on project origination opportunities Reporting to the Head of Origination & Development and other key senior leadership Conducting feasibility assessments of projects from various perspectives, including landscape, grid capacity, permits, and others Conducting site visits to identify and evaluate potential risks Negotiating land prices and other terms with landowners and project owners Monitoring relevant regulations and carrying out permitting-related work All other related duties as assignedQualifications :Bachelor’s degree preferred At least 1-3 years’ experience in RenewableProficiency in MS word, Excel, ppt and internal reporting Excellent communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently and efficiently on multiple assignments concurrently. Ability to structure unstructured problems. Based in Japan, some domestic travel required.Professional working proficiency in Japanese and ideally English.
