As an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator at Oritain, you will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for managing the accounts payable processes and ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments.

Your role will be essential in maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting the organisation's financial health. This role is full-time and based at our stunning Central Dunedin office. Key Responsibilities:

Review, validate, and process a high volume of vendor invoices and expense claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies Coordinate with internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoicing and payments Prepare and process payment runs, including electronic funds transfers and ensuring timely payments to vendors Maintain organised records of all accounts payable transactions, supporting documents, and payment confirmations Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, including preparing and reconciling of financial records Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships with suppliers Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the accounts payable function and wider team Assist in internal and external audits as required Stay updated with relevant accounting regulations and best practices regarding accounts payable processing Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in a busy accounts payable, accounting, or a related role Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial transactions Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite:

Familiarity with accounting systems and spreadsheet software to accurately record and analyse financial date.

An intermediate/expert skill level required with Excel Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Strong analytical skills, mathematical & numerical aptitude and the ability to reconcile accounts effectively Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and vendors Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to catch and resolve issues independently or escalate them to the appropriate area Knowledge of relevant accounting regulations and compliance standards is highly desirable Benefits 35 days holiday including STAT holidays 2 days paid volunteering leave Life insurance Birthday holiday leave A monthly well-being allowance Access to an extensive on-line learning platform Health cash-back plan Enhanced maternity/paternity leave Employee Assistant Programme This is for a permanent full-time role.
