Job Description SummaryAs an OSP Field Technician II, you’ll use your field and design expertise to support the expansion of high-speed fiber networks. You’ll perform detailed site surveys, develop OSP designs, and collaborate with engineering and construction teams to ensure network builds meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician with engineering experience who enjoys both office and field work.Job DescriptionWhat You’ll DoConduct field surveys and collect detailed site data to support design and permitting.Create OSP design drawings, construction plans, and cost estimates.Review as-builts and update documentation to reflect field changes.Coordinate with contractors, utility companies, and permitting agencies.Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and field personnel.Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, industry standards, and safety requirements.Troubleshoot and recommend design solutions for complex field challenges.Utilize AutoCAD, GIS, or design tools to prepare accurate and compliant work packages.Participate in on-call rotations and travel locally as needed for field verification.What You’ll BringHigh school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.1–3 years of experience in OSP engineering, telecommunications design, or related field.Solid understanding of OSP construction practices, fiber/copper infrastructure, and permitting processes.Intermediate to advanced skills in AutoCAD, GIS, or other design tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.Effective communication skills for coordinating across teams and stakeholders.Willingness to travel locally and work outdoors in varying conditions.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience supporting OSP network design or utility coordination.Familiarity with NESC standards and telecom permitting processes.OSHA 10 certification or similar safety credentials.Why Join UsAt TriTechne, you’ll help deliver reliable connectivity that powers homes, businesses, and communities.
