Our Home is looking to grow our loyal and driven team and are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team of manufacturing professionals on first shift. Our QA Technician's typical schedule will work Monday - Friday 7AM - 3: 30PM. The QA Tech will work closely with the shift supervisor and QA Supervisor to ensure all quality parameters are being met at all times.

This position must maintain a consistent quality product by performing QA checks (moisture, breakage, Oxygen, Bag Seal integrity, date code and raw material verification, and other checks as requested by leadership) at the required intervals.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare shift reports as directed by the Quality Assurance SupervisorPerform line inspections and raw material verifications prior to production beginning after a changeover or at the start of production for the weekValidate sanitation effectiveness and complete Post-OP or Pre-OP sanitation inspection reportConstantly inspect product as it is being produced to ensure it meets the benchmark standard and customer expectations and stop production immediately if out of tolerance deviation occursVerify all on line inspection sheets and production documents prior to and during production.

Sign off on all changeover check sheets as quickly as possible to verify all details are correct or to minimize the amount of product to be put on holdPlace all out of specification products and/or raw materials on hold using an orange QC Hold tagConduct and report daily GMP audits and corrective measures on designated shift.

Perform a walkthrough with the shift supervisor at least once per weekAssist in maintaining retained production samples for each product producedAs needed, assist with training of new employees and refresher training of existing employees in GMP, HACCP and other certifications as neededAs needed, assist with customer complaints investigationsAs needed, assist with sample preparation and shippingAs needed, assist in keeping Process Sheets up to date with production notes and speedsAs needed, assist with required Quality Assurance reportsAs needed, conduct taste tests to ensure production run matches previous runs/samplesAs needed, assist with R/D tasks and production sample runs/trials and reportRequirements1 - 2 years working in a production or food manufacturing facilityRequires basic reading, writing and math skills.
