Are you ready to join the team?What Does Cabco Bring to the Table?Great work life balance with minimal travel - most of the work is local to the HRMCompetitive compensation with a comprehensive benefits packageOn-the-job training, as well as career growthA focus on employee wellnessCompany pension match plan2 weeks paid vacation, milestone service awards and company eventsUse of company vehicleOn-the-job paid training, mentoring, and opportunity for career growthAn amazing team and company that lives its core values of our people, customers, community, growth, integrity, and safety.Key responsibilities for this position include:Safe operation of bucket trucks and associated toolsLoading and unloading reels on cable trailers and line trucksOutside Plant (OSP) installation of strand, coax, fiber, and equipment, both aerial and undergroundProper use of lashing equipment and other telecommunication toolsWorking in confined spaces, heights, and in all weather conditionsAbility to read and understand maps and designsTroubleshoot and test equipment when necessaryUnderstand and adhere to company safety policies and proceduresPerform other related duties as requiredQualifications 3-10 years related experience working within Telecommunications or Outside Plant Construction or a combination of relevant education and experience is an assetAbility to climb utility poles or have experience with ladders and boom-liftsWorking knowledge of construction or telecom documents, drawings, specificationsGreat attitude and the ability to communicate clearly and collaboratively with clients and colleaguesWillingness to work evenings and weekends, on-call occasionally and in all types of weather while adhering to company safety policies and wearing the required PPE required for the task.Ability to operate and maintain company vehicles safely, air brake endorsement may be requiredAbility to perform physically demanding tasks including but not limited to carrying heavy equipment, ladders, tools, on a regular basisSuccessful completion of a criminal background checkIf you think you are the ideal candidate to join our growing company, we look forward to hearing from you.At Cabco, we are committed to an inclusive, accessible environment, where all employees and customers feel valued, respected and supported, and free from all types of discrimination and harassment.
