Job Description

Who will join our finance team?For multiple group entities in Belgium and Dubai you will be responsible for:

Accounts Payable / ReceivableProcessing purchase invoices via document capture software (intelligent scanning)Improving recognition functionality during invoice registrationVerifying completeness and accuracy of incoming invoices (order matching)Reporting and discussing anomalies with the purchasing departmentFollowing up on cost rechargesHandling incoming calls and emails from suppliers/clients (A/P statements, reminders, audit confirmations)TreasuryProcessing bank statementsReconciling incoming and outgoing payments with outstanding ledgersPreparing outgoing payment runsPreparing and submitting letters of credit (LC) with the bankAccounting & ReportingPreparing and submitting returns and reports (VAT, excise, corporate tax, statistics)Preparing monthly entries for accruals and deferralsAssisting in quarterly closings, external audits, and annual financial statementsAdministration & Office ManagementMonitoring the accounting department mailboxCompleting ad-hoc reports and listings for various stakeholdersOrdering office suppliesHandling incoming and outgoing mailWelcoming visitorsAdditionalPotential for additional accounting tasks depending on experienceThe Profile of Our Ideal CandidateYou hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or have sufficient experience in a similar role in your previous jobs.

You have at least 8 years of relevant experience in an accounting department. Experience in an international trade environment (VAT regulations, customs, INCOTERMS) is a plus. You have a good command of English. Knowledge of French is an additional asset. You have experience working with an ERP system or accounting software. Experience with Navision/Business Central and/or Exact-on-line is a plus. You possess excellent Excel skills and are familiar with other common MS Office tools. You are accurate, efficient, and capable of working independently. You enjoy working in a team and contribute to a positive work atmosphere.
