The Opportunity We’re looking for a Dairy Farm Assistant to join the high-performing team Tasman Dairy Organics. In this role, you’ll assist with a range of farm tasks — from milking, calving, and feeding stock, to effluent management, spraying, and fencing. You’ll play an important part in the day-to-day operations and work closely with your team to help meet production and animal welfare goals.

You’ll receive full training and support, and we’ll encourage you to take the initiative, develop your skills, and support newer team members along the way. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a great work ethic and a passion for farming. Enjoy being part of a culture that values safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement. This is s a fixed-term role until the end of January 2026, drive-in – drive out. The FarmJust 15 minutes from Levin, Tasman Organics is a certified organic dairy farm covering 155 effective hectares. We milk around 330 cows at peak through a 30-aside herringbone shed.

Experience in a similar dairy farming role (or a strong interest in developing one)Experience in organic farming would be an advantageGood communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamA proactive attitude with initiative and commitment to animal welfare and health & safetyThe ability to coach and support junior or new staff where requiredA current NZ restricted or full driver’s licenceBenefitsWe offer a competitive salary package, up to 4% KiwiSaver matching.
