We believe in the power of diversity we are convinced that an inclusive and diverse work environment leads to more innovation, creativity and better results.Package Manager Offshore OperationsRequisition ID 9356Posting Start Date 25/04/2025FunctionTo contribute to Europe and Belgium’s ambitions for the Energy Transition, Elia has foreseen to extend its offshore high voltage grid, the Princess Elisabeth Island project.The grid shall connect the new Belgian windfarms situated within the “Princess Elisabeth Windfarm zone”.The Princess Elisabeth Island project consists ofan artificial energy island (with offshore transmission infrastructure)multiple AC substations at 66kV & 220 kV 6x 220kV AC export cable systems of ~50 km eachHVDC connection (1 converter offshore, 1 converter onshore, HVDC cable system) between the artificial island and the new onshore substation of the Ventilus projectpossibility to connect future HVDC interconnectors As part of the project team You are a safety leader and continuously looking for safety improvementsYou ensure the timely delivery of work packages and high quality of deliverableYou seek out design opportunities to create additional benefits to the projectYou report pro-actively and regularly regarding status and progress of your activitiesYou can independently manage and implement specific work packages and engage with relevant contractors, suppliers and internal experts where required.As Package Manager offshore operations, you Report to the Program Manager;Will develop and manage a multidisciplinary team of Engineers and Experts and cooperate with Package Managers, Experts, Procurement Officers, HSE advisors, PMO officers etc.are responsible to manage the project’s Offshore Operations, consisting of the 3 main elements Marine and Island Coordination, Transport and Installation for the Substation packages and Offshore Logistics (excluding the Island scope). You will develop a temporary accommodation and logistics concept for the offshore works on the artificial island, co-create the procurement strategy and tender package(s) and develop the necessary technical specifications and ensure an in time contract;manage these temporary accommodation and logistics contracts;liaise with the different packages and the Marine and Island coordinator to ensure efficient operations;be responsible for the technical scope T&I operations of the EPCI contractors for AC and HVDC substations and will join workshop, HAZIDs, review sessions.Your ProfileExperience in offshore logistics and transport operationsYou have a Masters in EngineeringYou have at least 5 years of working experience in the offshore infrastructure sector, preferably with large infrastructure projectsYou are a team playerYou have excellent oral and written communication skillsYou are organised and results-orientedYou can work under pressureYou are proactive and a problem-solverYou can prioritise and act accordinglyYou can work in an international project environmentYou enjoy technical challenges and are a quick learnerYou have entrepreneurial skills and are not deterred by challengesYou have excellent MS Office skillsYou are fluent in English and have a solid knowledge of Dutch and or FrenchOfferSalary a competitive salary package, allowance for representation expenses, year-end bonus, double vacation pay, meal vouchers (€8 per working day), eco-vouchers, year-end vouchers as well as bonuses based on individual and group results.  Insurance group insurance, hospitalisation insurance and ambulant care insurance for the whole family.  Vacation you will be entitled to 20 vacation days, 12 additional vacation days and 3 exempt days (after 1 year of employment) and up to 5 long-service days (1 day for every 3 years in employment).
