House Manager

The House Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the dormitory, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment. This includes overseeing cleaning, catering, maintenance, and tenant relations, while also ensuring cultural considerations for residents are respected.

Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily dormitory operations including housekeeping, catering, security, and general upkeepCoordinate repairs, maintenance work, and facility inspections to ensure all living areas are in excellent conditionManage dormitory supplies such as cleaning materials, toiletries, and beddingServe as the main point of contact for dormitory residents, addressing concerns promptly and professionallyEnsure smooth communication between Chinese residents and local staff, supporting language and cultural understandingOrganize and enforce dormitory rules, regulations, and safety guidelinesSupervise dormitory support staff including cleaners, cooks, and security guardsLiaise with external vendors for catering, laundry, pest control, and maintenance servicesMonitor vendor performance to ensure service qualityEnsure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standardsConduct regular safety drills and inspectionsMaintain accurate records of occupancy, maintenance schedules, and incident reportsPrepare and manage dormitory operational budgetsTrack expenses and ensure cost-effective operations without compromising qualitySubmit periodic reports to management on dormitory status, incidents, and improvementsQualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Facilities Management, or related field4+ years’ experience in property management, hotel management, or staff accommodation operationsExperience working with Chinese expatriates or in a multicultural environment is highly preferredStrong interpersonal and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively in English; Mandarin proficiency is a strong advantageKnowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulationsStrong organizational skills with attention to detailPowered by JazzHRahr50pLPlO
