The RoleWe are looking for an Assistant Director of Marketing Communications. You will play a pivotal role in executing the overarching marketing communications strategy that drives brand growth, customer engagement and support sales initiatives.

Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement comprehensive marketing communications plans that align with the hotel’s overarching business objectives, contributing to revenue growth and profitability. Create and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation to maximise return on investment. Develop compelling content for various platforms, including the website, social media, email campaigns, and marketing materials. Ensure consistent messaging and a positive brand image across all marketing materials and channels. Ensure all photography and videography adhere to the hotel’s brand standards.
Oversee creatives needs, including coordination with external designers and agencies. Oversee online marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, PPC, social media (and ad boosts), email marketing, website and eShop content management, to enhance engagement and drive traffic. Utilise analytics tools to monitor campaign performance, analyse results, and make data-driven decisions to optimise marketing initiatives. Manage public relations efforts, including media relations, press releases, case studies, media tastings, media events, and media familiarisation stays, to secure favourable media coverage and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders.
Maintain a collection of news clippings pertaining to the hotel and all business units through daily media monitoring. Coordinate media site inspections. Maintain a database of media contacts regularly and ensure data integrity. Maintain a portfolio of press materials and image library, and ensure all materials are regularly updated and remain current. Prepare detailed communications plan for each respective campaign, and plan and execute each campaign from start to completion. Identify and evaluate potential partnership and sponsorship opportunities aligned with the hotel's goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential partners.
Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to align partnership efforts with overall business strategies. Coordinate joint marketing initiatives and promotional activities with partners. Work closely with various departments, including sales, revenue management, and operations, to align marketing efforts with overall business goals. Lead, mentor, and motivate the marketing communications team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Monitor and supervise the day-to-day marketing communications activities. Oversee the planning and execution of hotel events, such as press conferences, community gatherings, and promotional events. Spearhead the development of the hotel’s CSR strategy.
Oversee the coordination of CSR initiatives across departments and promoting community engagement and sustainability. Provide support and guidance in managing any potential crisis communication situations. Cultivate relationships with advertising agencies, public relations firms, and other vendors to ensure the effective execution of marketing campaigns. Ensure all marketing activities adhere to relevant regulations and brand guidelines. Perform any other tasks that may be assigned. Talent ProfileBachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or similar fields. A minimum of eight years of experience in marketing and public relations, with a minimum of five years of experience in managerial roles.
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, with experience crafting compelling narratives. Excellent presentation and communications skills. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive brand growth and guest engagement.
