Freeman Lawyers is a small suburban firm with offices located in Woolloongabba and Beenleigh. We practise mostly in family law and wills and estates. The firm is offering an undergraduate law student the opportunity to work at our Woolloongabba office as a casual paralegal with an immediate start. The firm is currently seeking an undergraduate law student in their third year or later of study to work in our Woolloongabba office as a casual support staff.The role would require the successful applicant to be available to work two to four days per week with flexibility to accommodate for studies and exams. The applicant must be able to travel between our Woolloongabba and Beenleigh offices. Please note, preference will be given to candidates who are available to work four days per week.The successful applicant will be assisting solicitors primarily in family law and estate matters. The position will also include the following duties:Reception work;Administrative work;Data entry;Legal Research;Assisting solicitors with conveyancing and traffic matters; andAny other related junior work tasks.This position is an excellent opportunity for students who are seeking to gain valuable hands-on experience and knowledge of law in practice.Previous experience in the legal profession is not essential, however, experience and skills in face-to-face customer service roles will be looked upon favourably.
