As a Maintenance Assistant, you are a caretaker of this vision, responsible for a variety of maintenance activities, plus handyman services for our residents. This includes:

Performing maintenance services such as cleaning, painting, plastering, snow removal, minor repairs, basic plumbing and electrical work within established timeframesHelping to ensure the overall safety and cleanliness of the buildingResponding to residents’ maintenance requests (work orders) in a timely and professional mannerAssisting with suite preparation for turnover, including carpet cleaning, painting, furniture moving and other tasksSupporting the Building Services Manager as needed, including responding to emergency situationsThe perks of PARC HospitalityMeaningful work. Completion of Building Services Worker Program is an asset, tooYou have a background in plumbing, electrical, heating, painting, basic carpentry and janitorial work, as well as with building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.

Knowledge of mechanical systems and operations would be an asset, as wellYou have a basic understanding of physical plant operations, maintenance and trouble-shooting of major systemsYou are a critical thinker who is responsive and priority-sensitive; able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervisionYou understand and respect the needs of seniors, their families, and other professional services engaged with our residentsAt PARC Retirement Living we require a Criminal Record Check, and a TB test within the first month of employment.
