You'll get to safely service, troubleshoot inspect, install, and rehab Ride machinery and components. Apply today! Full Time Hourly, Non-Exempt. This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement.Pay Range $28.97-$38.62 per hour (depending on level of experience). Work in excess of 40 hours per week is paid at 1.5x standard pay rate.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInspect rides and attractions, and notifying management of any and all hazards that may endanger guests or employeesPerform the ride inspection and maintenance programs in accordance with the standards set by Six Flags, Ride Manufacturers, ASTM and the State of Georgia.Maintain, erect, repair and troubleshoot various theme park rides and attractionsDiagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, gearbox drive systems etc.Diagnose and repair/replace faulty mechanical components, such as lift chains, gear boxes, speed braking components, etc.Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctionsRemove and /or replace worn or defective parts using hand or power toolsWeld using process types such as shielded meta ARC welding, Flux Core ARC welding and Gas ARC weldingRead and interpret mechanical drawings and manufactures manuals and schematics as providedKeep a daily duty log of maintenance work performed as well as accurate records of preventative maintenanceRespond to work orders and conduct mechanical repairs as required to maintain safe park operation.Adhere to park policies and procedures.Other duties as assignedSkills and QualificationsStrong knowledge of various mechanical systems and ability to proficiently weld.Ability to meet deadlinesAbility to professionally interact with other shops and various departments.Must be able to troubleshoot clearly, calmly and safely in the presence of guests, co-workers and park management.Ability to write, speak and comprehend English.Able to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting up to 100 lbs, bending, standing for long periods of time, climbing, and working at heights up to 200 ft.Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.Ability to work outside in any weather conditions, nights, weekends and holidays.Valid Drivers’ License and clean DMV report.Employees are required to supply their own hand tools.
