Job Purpose The Sales Engineer is responsible for overseeing assigned principal accounts and solutions, handling inquiries, preparing proposals, submitting tenders, conducting techno-commercial meetings, following up on opportunities, coordinating order execution, managing documentation, and ensuring timely delivery. Key Responsibilities: 1. Principal Account Management Maintain and develop relationships with principal accounts through regular clients / EPC’s interactions. Verify all sales costings and proposals, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. Conduct proactive follow-ups to secure orders and facilitate smooth transaction processes. Participate in technical discussions, clarifications, and project kick-off meetings. 2. Sales Strategy & ExecutionDevelop and communicate effective sales strategies to secure job awards.
Prepare cost estimations and technical proposals aligned with business objectives. Conduct competitive analysis and execute sales plans accordingly. 3. Forecasting & Strategic PlanningPrepare and present sales forecasts and strategic business plans. Provide insights and updates to principals and top management for informed decision-making. 4. Deliverables & After-Sales SupportEnsure high-quality deliverables throughout the sales cycle. Provide comprehensive after-sales support to enhance customer satisfaction. 5. Business DevelopmentIdentify and execute strategies for acquiring new customers. Expand market reach by leveraging industry insights and customer needs. 6. Commercial & Contract NegotiationsLead commercial negotiations with clients, including payment terms, discounts, and contract terms.
Ensure pricing agreements align with company policies and market standards. 7. Vendor & Contractor ComplianceMaintain and update vendor and contractor registration and qualification with NOCs, IOCs, EPCs, and other relevant entities. 8. Flexibility & Cross-Functional CollaborationAdapt to flexible working hours based on business demands and priorities. Work closely with colleagues, managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations. 9. Technical Collaboration & Solution AlignmentPartner with engineering and technical teams to develop proposals that align with customer needs. Ensure compliance with product specifications, quality standards, and industry requirements. Education, Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in electrical or instrumentation engineering Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Sales engineer in the UAE with major experience in Fire & Gas Systems and Devices for Oil & Gas , Power and associated industries Good knowledge in electrical and instrumentation Skills & CompetenciesFluent in English (verbal and written). Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software. Strong problem analysis and troubleshooting capabilities. Self-motivated, capable of working independently while adhering to deadlines. Adaptable to challenges with a meticulous approach to work. Confident, well-presented, and able to engage effectively with stakeholders. Ability to work effectively in diverse environments.
