Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled a part-time assistant programmer for a part-time position.The jobYou will be part of a team of researchers working with 3D medical image analysis in collaboration with Rigshospitalet. The team’s activities lie in creating novel 3D medical image analysis algorithms for the analysis of cardiovascular risk factors.As a part-time assistant programmer on the team, you will be part of the practical work with creating the software infrastructure, curating the data and developing new algorithms.The research and software are based on the novel development in geometric deep learning, deep metric learning and deep reinforcement leaning.In the job, your primary responsibilities will include:Data preparation and setupData curationSoftware development3D Image analysisDeveloping and training deep learning based algorithms for 3D dataOur expectations of youWe expect you to have extensive experience with working with 3D medical images and programming in Python. We also expect you to have extensive practical experience in using, modifying and testing advanced deep learning and deep reinforcement learning frameworks for 3D medical image segmentations and annotation.You should have strong skills in:Programming in PythonImage processing and analysisMachine learning including deep learning3D medical image segmentationComputational fluid dynamicsDeep reinforcement learning for 3D medical image annotation.A bachelor degree in biomedical engineeringFurthermore, we expect you to be good a communicator and a team-oriented person with good problem-solving skills. The study will take place in the Section for Visual Computing, one of the 11 research sections at DTU Compute. The section for Visual Computing employs 12 permanent faculty members and a total number of employees around 45 including PhDs and postdocs. Research in the section concerns image analysis and computer graphics applied to different areas including computer vision, medicine, materials science, and manufacturing. Medical image analysis is a core focus area for the group and central to teaching, project collaboration with external partners, and research. Deep learning is central to this research proposal, and several research projects in the section are based on deep learning for medical image analysis, and most of the employees in the section use deep learning in their research. This makes a strong research environment with extensive knowledge and experience that significantly will support the proposed project. The section has established a close collaboration with the heart center and the center for diagnostic radiology at Rigshospitalet. A deep learning computing setup and office space is established at Rigshospitalet, where students and employees from DTU Compute collaborate with the staff at Rigshospitalet.Technology for peopleDTU develops technology for people.
