Job TypePart-timeDescriptionThe Skip Barber Racing School team is seeking trust worthy CDL truck drivers to transport our race cars and equipment to and from events across North America. As one of our drivers you will get to visit the most iconic race tracks in the world and assist with our racing schools and race teams which compete in TC America and other series.RequirementsPerform requisite safety checks of brakes, steering column, lights and mirrors prior to each leg of journey to ensure road readiness.Follow and maintain loading protocols to ensure vehicles and equipment are safely transported.Inspect trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines, hydraulic lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary.Visit weigh stations before and after packing to ensure that loads meet state safety regulations, making alterations to loads when required by lawContribute to company data by honestly recording times of delivery and hours workedAssist with loading and unloading of vehicles and equipment.Assist event teams with setup and tear down as assigned.Assist the event or race team in paddock and pit lane when neededAdhere to traffic safety regulations at all times, including DOT, DMV, State and Federal highway safety rules and regulations.Meet strict schedules and timelines to ensure vehicles and equipment are delivered safely and on-time.Ensure the cleanliness of the transporters and haulers both inside and out.QualificationsCurrent CDL Class A Commercial Drivers License (required).Current Medical Examiners Certificate (required).Clean, organized and professional presentation.Clean driving record.Satisfactory Background Check.Demonstrated experience operating vehicle transporters including loading and unloading and appropriate securing of vehicles and equipment.Ability to lift 75 pounds.Experience with Motive or similar EDL.
