Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of the Part-Time Grants Team ConsultantUnder the direction of the President, the Grants Team Consultant is a professional entity or individual who leverages their respective experience in grant management, grant writing, curriculum development, instructional design, instructional delivery, educational research, fiscal management and/or grant-related educational or workforce experiences to assist, advise and/or support an organization’s grant team to identify potential funding sources, develop, review or critique planned grant submissions and provide input to evaluate, manage, or comply with grant guidelines.Minimum And Additional RequirementsBachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years or related grant management or grants development experience. Must have a valid driver's license.NETC Preferred: Master’s degree in higher education leadership, business, counseling, organizational leadership, or related field. Minimum of four years of demonstrated administrative experience in higher education, government operations, government reporting, educational support services, academic affairs, and/or student services with experience writing grant proposals, grant reports, requests for private or public foundation funding and other related funding solicitations.Preferred QualificationsManage multiple grant-related projects simultaneously within established deadlines and guidelines. Collaborate with Human Resources Division to recruit, hire, train or manage staff as deemed appropriate to promote grant operations. Provide technical assistance with grant start-up, program operations, and close-out of respective projects. Collaborate with leadership team, faculty, staff, partners, and/or stakeholders to facilitate grant projects. Seek, promote, or critique funding opportunities for Grants Team evaluation and consideration. Write, revise, or review grant-related documents to enhance fiscal stability or funding potential of college. Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners and stakeholders. Propose fiscal strategies or project budgets to support grant development and compliance. Align planned grant submissions with existing grant activities to maximize impact. Customize grant opportunities to enhance and align with college mission and expansion efforts. Identify and secure value-added hardware and software-based systems to promote efficient management and delivery services. Maintain awareness of grant-related operations through ongoing professional development. Local and regional travel may be required. Incorporate special projects as assigned with grant-related workload to foster college operations. Perform other duties as assigned.Additional CommentsBachelor's degree and four years business, personnel, grant-in-aid, or public administration work experience.
