It’s our mission to re-define and repair.The OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for a Parts Assistant to join the team at BroadmeadowsReporting to the Warehouse Manager; you will be responsible for supervising our warehouse operation activities to support the SOPs, procedures and objectives of the business. This role will require both ‘hands on’ involvement with day to day activities whilst also overseeing the team to ensure that tasks are completed in an efficient and effective manner.You will be responsible for:General DutiesDrain all fluids safely ensuring no spillage. Spillages must be cleaned up prior to moving to next task.Test and clean parts where requiredTake direction from the Production Supervisor regarding any other tasks as requiredEnsure that the area is free of hazardsRemove parts from yard and organise into provided scrapAssist with ad hoc tasks to support maximising sales revenue from yard including spare parts, battery, tyre and rim salesTyre and Vehicle Dismantling Complete daily pre-operational inspections on equipmentInspect wheels and tyres for damage that may prevent safe dismantling or ability to sellSeparate wheels and tyres safely utilising tyre extraction machineryMove dismantled wheels and tyres to designated storage locationClean the tyre dismantling area on an ongoing basisRemove parts as directedMaintain tools as requiredThe successful candidate will have the following:Specialist KnowledgeForklift licences preferred.Knowledge of mechanical car parts and panelsUnderstanding of the long-term goals and aspirations of the organisationExperience & SkillsExperience in yard maintenanceProblem solvingAble to work safely and efficiently both in a team environment and independently Well-developed interpersonal skillsStrong written communication skills Able to professionally represent the organisationWe know that sometimes people need non-standard work hours, and would be happy to discuss the options available in this role, or similar roles across our business.
