We believe in a responsible and safe mindset that takes care of our customers, products, and fellow employees.Join the resource revolution!Job DescriptionAs a Parts preparation & Refurbishment engineer you are the person which our service organization can rely on to prepare parts and produce assemblies, used by our service engineers worldwide to maintain and repair our sorters.Together with the quality team you are also the person who checks, repairs and follows up on returned parts, this as well internally as towards our suppliers. And at the same time, you work together with the R&D department to improve designs or create test systems.Key TasksDaily presence in the office in Leuven is required.(Pre-)Programming of Electronics boards / industrial PCs / Electronic devices in generalBuilding together assemblies which are used by our service engineers in the field worldwideBeing the interface between our service organization and the supplier for repairsYou develop test jigs and tools with the help of R&D to make troubleshooting and programming possible and easier You are part of the global RMA process where parts can be shipped from other hubs for repairYou are a partner for R&D to validate new designs and propose changesAssist in building PrototypesAs production engineer you are working with all technical and logistic teams in the companyQualificationsA bachelor’s degree in Electro-IT Engineering would be an advantageYou have a natural talent for troubleshooting analogue & digital ElectronicsComputer Hardware and configuration have no secrets to youYou have a good knowledge of IP and its applications, IP routing protocols, LAN/WAN switching, 4G/5G, WiFi and VPN solutionsWorking meticulous and structured is important for youYou have knowledge on industrial programming toolsEnglish is a mustIt’s Considered a Plus If You HaveWorking knowledge of basic electrical power circuits and PLC circuits would be an advantageKnowledge of Siemens PLC Step 7 and TIA portal and other PLC brands is an advantageYou have knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP, OPC DA/UA, profibus/profinet,…)Apart from electronics you also are not afraid of mechanical workAdherence to all safety procedures.Additional InformationWhy Work for Us?At TOMRA Food, We Offer a Long-term Career.
